Abstract

Abstract

The clinical problem of infertility depends on multiple factors which determine reproductive success because it involves hormonal control and embryo quality and the complete surgical and assisted reproductive procedure environment. The combination of low-grade body inflammation and postoperative microbial exposure and delayed wound recovery seems to damage endometrial receptivity while reducing the time for successful implantation. The review examines three perioperative methods which include chlorhexidine antisepsis and oral-health optimization and trypsin–chymotrypsin enzymatic therapy to determine their benefits for assisted reproductive technology (ART) success.

The research data shows chlorhexidine serves as the main agent to decrease microbial contamination and postoperative tissue inflammation which safeguards early reproductive signals from inflammatory increases. The body maintains continuous cytokine activation because of oral health problems which include periodontal disease and dental lesions that have not been resolved. Enzymatic therapy through proteolytic activity enables patients to recover from surgery more quickly because it decreases swelling and inflammatory fluid accumulation which becomes vital for successful ART cycles with short timeframes.

The various perioperative elements work together to control both body-wide and site-specific inflammatory responses. The lack of direct research about infertility patients does not eliminate the need for full perioperative care to support reproductive success. Research needs to develop standardized clinical guidelines which describe the combined effects of antiseptic treatments using dental and enzymatic methods to enhance implantation success rates.
